DGS Based Eight-Port MIMO Antenna for 5G(N-79) and Sub-6 GHz Applications
Eight-port MIMO antenna is designed and analyzed for 5G(N-79) and Sub-6 GHz applications in this paper. The radiator is composed of a hook-shaped structure and the defected ground plane for impedance matching. The open-ended slots (OES) are inserted in ground to mitigate surface current which improves the isolation. The proposed antenna operates 4.0-5.4 GHz with isolation higher than 21 dB. The MIMO parameters such as ECC, CCL and DG are well under permissible limits, and validate the diversity performance of MIMO antenna.
