Controller design of bidirectional Buck-Boost converter for low frequency pulse power supply

Low-frequency pulse power supply is mainly used in laser, radar, medical devices, chemical dust removal and vehicle-mounted power supply. Its output is constant voltage and pulse current, so its power is in pulse form. In order to prevent its pulse power from being transmitted to the input terminal, it is necessary to add storage units at the output terminal to compensate the pulse power. Usually, a storage capacitor is connected to the output end of the power supply to compensate the pulse part of the power, but the volume and weight of the output capacitor at this time will be very large. The storage capacitor can be replaced by a parallel bidirectional DC-DC converter to reduce the capacitance volume. The factors that affect the compensation effect of bidirectional DC-DC converter generally include circuit parasitic parameters, circuit topology and control strategy. In this paper, the bidirectional Buck-Boost converter in low-frequency pulse load is selected as the research object, and the controller is designed for this system, so that the system can better track the pulse current when the pulse comes and ends, so that the pulse has less influence on the input current and the output voltage fluctuates less.
