Analyzing the Appeal of IoT Devices in Pet Care: A Study of Applications and User Adoption

This study examines the growing appeal and adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in pet care, analyzing their applications, benefits, and challenges in modern pet management. The research investigates how IoT technology has transformed traditional pet care through smart devices such as automated feeders, health monitors, environmental control systems, and location trackers. The findings highlight that IoT pet devices attract users through several key value propositions: enhanced convenience via automation, improved pet safety and security, comprehensive health monitoring, and personalized care solutions. Moreover, the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning has facilitated predictive analytics and autonomous decision-making. However, challenges such as data privacy concerns, particularly in relation to compliance with regulations like the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), device reliability issues, and barriers to user adoption due to cost and usability remain significant. The study concludes that the success of IoT pet devices lies in their ability to blend technological innovation with practical solutions, thereby strengthening the bond between pets and owners and improving overall pet care standards.
