An IoT-Enabled Whistle Counter System for Automated Monitoring and Control in the Cookers

This paper presents the design and implementation of an Automated Whistle Counter for Pressure Cookers with Blynk IoT integration, aimed at enhancing cooking efficiency and safety. The system employs an ESP microcontroller as the central processing unit, interfacing with a sound sensor to detect and count whistle sounds during cooking. Users can set the desired whistle count via a 4×4 keypad or remotely through the Blynk IoT app, providing flexibility and convenience. An OLED display provides real-time feedback on the whistle count and cooking status. Additionally, a servo motor and buzzer activate alerts when the target whistle count is reached, preventing overcooking or food burning. The system also supports remote monitoring and control via the IoT platform, enhancing user experience. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed solution automates cooking monitoring, improves accuracy, and integrates smart control, making it a valuable addition to modern kitchens.
