Advanced SEPIC Converter and Fuzzy Logic Approach for RES Integration in Resilient Microgrids

In this research, a novel high gain Enhanced Single Ended Primary Inductor Converter (SEPIC) converter is presented. The solar array is connected to Enhanced SEPIC converter in the proposed system architecture. The rotor windings of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) are connected to a converter via slip rings, while the stator windings are connected to the grid. For applications like renewable energy systems and battery-powered gadgets, enhanced SEPIC converters are made to increase power conversion efficiency while offering larger input voltage ranges and improved control. To regulate power flow and provide stability inside the microgrid, Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) is managed by a Proportional Integral (PI). Robust performance under fluctuating load circumstances is maintained through the Fuzzy Logic Controller's (FLC) adaptive control, which is handle nonlinearities and uncertainties inside the microgrid. Power integration and conversion from DC to AC that is adequate for grid compatibility are ensured by the three phase VSI, which is managed by the PI controller. This methodology presents a viable resolution for dependable and sustainable microgrid structures, able to satiate the growing need for Renewable Energy resources (RES) while preserving grid effectiveness and stability. The efficiency of the Enhanced SEPIC converter is 92.5% obtained.
