Optimized Dual-Stage Grid-Tied PV System with Level Shift PWM Control
This paper presents an optimized dual-stage grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) system employing an advanced Level Shift Pulse Width Modulation (LSPWM) control method to increase efficiency, power quality, and grid compliance. The suggested system combines a high-performance DC-DC boost converter with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and a Multilevel inverter with a cascaded H-bridge (MLI) to ensure optimal power extraction and efficient DC-AC conversion. The LSPWM approach efficiently minimizes the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), minimizes losses in switching, and improves voltage regulation, ensuring seamless grid integration. A comprehensive analysis, including theoretical modeling, Simulation, and experimental validation, reveals that the proposed system outperforms traditional grid-tied PV inverters. The results confirm enhanced energy conversion efficiency, lower harmonics, and improved dynamic response, making the system highly suitable for modern grid-connected renewable energy applications.
