Design and Analysis of Tri-band Quarter Mode SIW Antenna for Sub-6GHz, WLAN and WIFI Applications

The paper presents the circular shaped quarter mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based slot antenna for triple band applications. The substrate material used in this design is FR-4 with a thickness of 1.6 mm. as 4.4 and copper thickness of 35um. The CST simulation tool is used to simulate the proposed antenna and extract the results. The antenna resonates with three resonant frequencies those are 3.5GHz, 4.49GHz and 5.39GHz respectively. The S11, VSWR, gain in dBi and bandwidth values are -26dB, 1.1013, 5.04dBi and 103 MHz at 3.5GHz frequency -27dB, 1.0905, 4.1dBi and 105MHz at 4.49 GHz frequency. -17dB, 1.3186, 3.48dBi and 145MHz at 5.39 GHz frequency. also radiates bidirectional radiation patterns at all resonant frequencies and well suited for wireless applications.
