Design and Development of Cost-Effective Terahertz Device for Medical Diagnosis

Terahertz (THz) technology is in high demand because of its use in wireless communication, spectroscopy, and imaging. The exorbitant price of THz devices, however, continues to be a major obstacle to their widespread use. An STM32 microcontroller, Node-MCU, and a number of auxiliary electronic parts, including a relay board, L298N motor driver, DC motor, Ni-Cr coil, and an AC-to-DC converter, are used in this research to create an affordable terahertz device. Through the use of a Flutter-developed Android application, the system can be remotely handled to efficiently create and control THz radiation. Firebase ensures smooth communication between the mobile interface and the hardware by managing and storing data in real time. Together, the STM32 and Node-MCU regulate the power source, motor, and heating components to maximize efficiency and reduce expenses. The goal of this research is to create a THz device that is both economical and efficient, suitable for a range of uses such as material analysis, medical imaging, and security screening. IoT integration improves accessibility and usability by enabling users to remotely monitor and operate the system. The suggested remedy offers a workable way to lower the cost and increase the accessibility of THz technology for use in industrial and research settings.
