Hybrid Solar-Wind Power for EV Charging and Grid Support with Advanced Control
The new proposed system combines the wind and solar renewable energy systems for the grid support and for charging the electric vehicle. The plant uses PV panel and wind mills in generation of power for charging the EVs and feeding the power to the grid and synchronizing battery storage system. This advanced control system shall incorporate the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) which would assist in extraction of power both from solar and wind devices. The power converters are controlled by a Pulse Width Modulation PWM generator to convert renewable power into useful electricity. The boost-ky converter provides the benefits of regulated energy buffering and discharge, the process of restoring a system balanced state, it involved energy generation, EV charging and grid support. In the case of single phase system, the grid inverter converts DC power from the renewable sources or the battery into AC power suitable for grid export. In during the times more energy is produced than is required, the system discharges the excess to the utility favouring the balance and optimization of the electricity grid. The grid provides continuous EV charging as a backup when renewable generators are producing less power. This approach ensures that EV charging is acceptable from the aspects of sustainability, organization and cost. The stability of the system by minimizing on the utilization of non-renewable resources in energy production. This strategy presents a realistic and sustainable solution to tackle this problem of providing renewable energy into the energy and the transportation sectors.
