Design and Analysis of a Wideband Metamaterial based Antenna using SRR and CSRR Structures for Wireless Communication

The proposed design, simulation, and analysis of small-scale metamaterial-based antennas fed by a variety of non-coplanar waveguides for diverse wireless applications, this paper at its crux seeks to strengthen. It incorporates two types of resonant devices: circular split-ring resonators (SRR) and hexagonal closed-ring resonators (CRR), in the design so as to enhance the bandwidth of the antenna while minimizing its physical dimension. This wideband wireless standard encompasses WiMAX (3.3-3.5 GHz), WLAN (5.2 GHz), IoT and 5G sub-6 GHz, RFID, and biomedical applications; operating with accuracy and efficiency between 3.06 and 5.89 GHz. Other important parameters that are either low for volume (15 mm×18 mm×1.5 mm) or some really constrained physical 0.74 kind of ka, thus making it suitable for ergonomically challenging space-constrained devices. The small size of metamaterial-oriented resonators favors bandwidths while the irregular CPW-fed configurations with above 80 percent radiation efficiency-spanning the operating frequency of antenna gain peaking at 3.65 dBi at 5.2 GHz and 65 percent impedance bandwidth. The coinciding measured and simulated results strengthen the status of the antenna vis-a-vis stability and performance. With its low-profile design, wide frequency coverage, and excellent radiation characteristics, this is a great candidate for next-generation wireless systems. Additionally, it is suitable for being fully scalable for successful integration into modern small-sized high-performance communication devices thereby simplifying the fabrication process.
