Performance-Optimized EV Fast Charger using Bridgeless Switched-Inductor Cuk Converter and STSMC

This study presents a high-performance onboard quick charging system for electric vehicles that uses a BridgeLess Switched Inductor (BLSI) Cuk converter that is managed by a premium Super Twisting Sliding Mode Controller (STSMC). By addressing the shortcomings of conventional pi controllers, the proposed solution guarantees improved dynamic responsiveness, reduced voltage and modern ripple, and improved stability under a variety of load scenarios. The BLSI cuk converter operates at greater obligation cycles and achieves excessive step-down benefit in order to prevent strength mismatches and lessen the strain on electrical switches. The addition of STSMC enhances manipulation precision and robustness while enabling faster and more powerful charging. MATLAB/Simulink simulation results and experimental validation demonstrate the recommended system's capacity to deliver superior performance, reduced factor strain, and advanced performance as a scalable solution for next-generation EV fast charging.
