Enhancing Electric Vehicle Charging Efficiency Using Zeta Luo Converters: Design, Analysis, and Performance Evaluation
The increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) necessitates the development of highly efficient and stable charging systems. Traditional power converters, such as buck-boost and SEPIC converters, suffer from low efficiency and poor voltage regulation, particularly under variable load conditions. This study addresses these limitations by investigating the application of Zeta Luo converters in EV charging infrastructure. The research focuses on improving power conversion efficiency and voltage stability while ensuring a compact design. A detailed design and performance analysis of the Zeta Luo converter are presented, with simulations conducted in MATLAB/Simulink to evaluate its efficiency and stability under dynamic load conditions. The results demonstrate that the Zeta Luo converter achieves an efficiency of over 92% while providing superior voltage regulation compared to conventional converters. These findings establish the Zeta Luo converter as a promising solution for modern EV charging systems and highlight its potential for further optimization and integration with renewable energy sources.
