Our bone support us & allow us to move our bones store minerals such as calcium & phosphorus, which help keep our bone healthy & strong, release them into the body when we need them for other use. Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by weakened & fragile bone tissue, leading to an increased risk of bone fracture women’s cam loose up to 20% of their bone mass in the five to seven years after menopause. osteoporosis is the leading cause of miscalculate disease in adults. Aim of the study: The main aim of the study was to assess effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding osteoporosis and its prevention among adult population. Methodology: Quasi-experimental one group pre-test post-test design was used to evaluate. Effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding Osteoporosis & its prevention among adult population in selected area of Daund. The structure teaching programme was proposed & tested for reliability & validity. The data collection was carried out in two phases & the data was analysed by using the descriptive & inferential statistics. Result: The result shows that in pre-test, majority 52 sample had inadequate knowledge followed by 06 samples had adequate knowledge & i.e. 02 samples had good knowledge regarding Osteoporosis & its prevention while at post-test majority 42 samples had good knowledge followed by 18 samples had adequate knowledge, implying the intervention was successful in adequate knowledge regarding. The pair t-test in significance indicating the effectiveness of planned teaching was significantly successfully in enhancing the knowledge regarding Osteoporosis & its prevention among adult population. Conclusion: The study statistically shows significant results regarding structured teaching programme on knowledge related to osteoporosis and its prevention.
