HYDRODYNAMICS AND HEAT TRANSFER DURING VAPOR CONDENSATION ON A VERTICAL SURFACE CONSIDERING CONVECTION OF A LAMINAR FLOWING FILM
Theoretical and experimental studies were conducted on steam condensation and the gravitational laminar flow of the condensate film on a vertical surface. Dependencies were derived that can be used to determine heat transfer coefficients during condensation, convective heat transfer, the thickness of the liquid film, and heat flux density in both design and operational modes of condensers. The obtained experimental results, calculated using the derived dependencies, were verified using Nusselt’s formulas by comparing these results with experimental studies on the condensation of ozone-safe refrigerant R-404A on inclined surfaces with vertical and relatively vertical fins
