Regulatory and Program Support for Physical Education of Specialized Secondary Education Students

The article presents the results of an analysis of the regulatory and program support for specialized secondary education in Ukraine, indicating the readiness for further reform of complete general secondary education through the implementation of the “New Ukrainian School” Concept at the third level. It highlights that an important step toward establishing a legislative framework for implementing the educational reform in Ukraine was the development and approval of the State Standard for Specialized Secondary Education, which identifies "Physical Education" as one of the educational fields mandatory for all students of specialized education, regardless of their profile or focus. We have proposed three possible levels of integrating the content of the "Physical Education" field into the profiles of general secondary education, in accordance with students’ interests, the capabilities of educational institutions, and the involvement of stakeholders: basic, advanced, and specialized.
