THE CORRELATION BETWEEN MENTAL STATEANDORAL HEALTH SELF-EFFICACY OF PERIODONTITISPATIENTS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A LINEGRAPHPREDICTION MODEL
Objective: To explore the correlation between mental state and oral health self-efficacy of patients with chronic periodontitis, and to establish a self-efficacy line graph prediction model. Methods: The convenience sampling method was used to select 284 patients with chronic periodontitis who were treated from January 2021 to December 2024. All patients were divided into a modeling group (n=227) and a validation group (n=57), in an 8:2 ratio. General information about all subjects was collected. The Dental Anxiety Scale (DAS), Dental Fear Scale (DFS), and Self-Efficacy Scale for Self-Care (SESS) were used to score the subjects.
