Plant Transcription Factor Responses to Herbicide Stress
Transcription factor responses to herbicide stress are poorly understood. Transcriptomic data of different studies available were analyzed to identify key transcription factors (TFs) responding to herbicide exposure across plant species. Our findings reveal clues on TF signatures linked to herbicide tolerance or sensitivity, suggesting potential control points in metabolic pathways and downstream signalling. This work highlights the need for properly designed experiments to fully explore the interplay between herbicide class, treatment duration, and plant species on TF expression patterns.
