Research on the Configuration of Competitiveness Driven by Innovation Ecosystem in High-tech Industries
Against the background of increasingly fierce global technological competition, high-tech industry is a key engine for high-quality economic development, and its innovation capacity and efficiency are particularly important. In this paper, the core elements of the innovation ecosystem of high-tech industry: innovation unit, innovation environment and functional mechanism are studied in depth. Using fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) on data from 26 Chinese provinces, key conditions for improving the competitiveness of high-tech industries - production and business units and technological environment - are identified. In addition, three configurations of competitiveness were identified: operation-driven, environment-combined, and mechanism-combined-driven. These findings suggest that regions can choose a development path based on their respective strengths. On this basis, this paper proposes to strengthen the construction of production and operation units, optimise the technological environment and clarify the development path, so as to promote the high-tech industry to be at the forefront of global competition. This study not only enriches the theoretical framework, but also provides practical guidance for policymakers and managers, and promotes the continuous innovation and development of high-tech industries.
