Environmental Influences on Lamprey Sex Ratio Dynamics and Their Implications for Ecosystem Stability and Management

This study uses mathematical modeling and simulation, especially the Lotka-Volterra model, to explore the dynamics of gender ratio changes in Lamprey species under different environmental conditions and their impact on ecosystems. Our analysis utilized the Euler method and matplotlib tool to reveal the significant impact of food availability and growth rate on the lamb ratio. It is worth noting that Lamprey exhibits significant adaptability in adjusting their sex ratio in response to environmental signals, which has profound implications for their population dynamics and co species. This adaptability changes the stability of the ecosystem, affecting population size, food chain interactions, and the establishment of new ecological balances. Our discovery highlights the importance of understanding and regulating the gender ratio of lamprey for effective protection and management of its habitat, ultimately contributing to maintaining ecosystem balance and sustainability.
