O BUMBA MEU BOI E A MITOLOGIA: DA MITOLOGIA À PANTOMIMA VIBRANTE

This article addresses the mythological origin of the bumba meu boi, tracing the path from the worship of the bull, the origin of this worship, to the arrival of the myth of the Boi Geroa in northeastern Brazil. This led to the creation of a Jesuit auto with catechetical objectives, which gained favor among the people and spread to all corners of the country, creating a vibrant pantomime that is still alive today.
