Optimized Grid-Connected Solar Photovoltaics System using Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution

This study employs the Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to optimize grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems. Given growing concerns about climate change and the global shift toward sustainable energy, solar PV stands out as a promising solution. The fuzzy TOPSIS method is applied to simultaneously optimize two key objectives: minimizing costs and maximizing electricity output. By systematically evaluating design, financial, and energy constraints, this approach identifies the most effective configuration. The study determines the optimal system setup based on defined criteria and established limits, guiding the process from initial PV modeling to the selection of the best-performing solution. The results demonstrate that the proposed method successfully meets the target requirements, achieving cost-effective and efficient power generation.
