Development of an Android-Based Reminder System for Social Services
This study presents the development of Memento, an Android-based reminder application designed to help users efficiently manage significant dates and tasks, such as appointments and meetings. Developed using Android Studio and Firebase, Memento incorporates a scheduling optimization feature powered by a Linear Regression model, which predicts ideal reminder times based on user behavior and historical scheduling data. This machine learning model enhances the app’s adaptability to individual preferences, improving user engagement and task completion. The application’s comprehensive functionality includes time-based reminders, diary features, calendar integration, and push notifications, collectively supporting productivity and organization across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and business. Future directions for this research include exploring advanced machine learning techniques to further personalize reminders and refine prediction accuracy.
