Gene Expression Profiling Reveals Complex Interactions between ESCA and COAD: A Systems Biology Approach
Across the world, millions are afflicted with esophageal cancer (ESCA) and colorectal adenocarcinoma (COAD). Yet, the diverse nature of these illnesses impedes our complete comprehension of them. Recent research suggests a possible link between these two cancer types. This research utilized differential gene expression analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) to pinpoint genes showing notable expression in both ESCA and COAD. Significantly, vital routes were clarified, offering a window into the complex interplays. This study's findings significantly influence the creation of innovative biomarkers and treatment targets, thereby improving our capacity to diagnose and manage ESCA and COAD.
