Research hotspots and high-quality development prospects in ginseng industry based on COOC visual analysis

Objective This study uses visual analysis to reveal the research hotspots and development trends of ginseng industry, aiming to provide scientific basis and decision-making support for the high-quality development of ginseng industry. Methods COOC14.9 software was used to systematically analyze ginseng industry related literature in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform and VIP Chinese Journal Database. There were 572 documents in all. By visualizing and analyzing the number of publications, authors, institutions and keywords of the literature, combined with the keyword co-occurrence clustering and trend analysis, the research hotspots and cutting-edge issues of ginseng industry were clarified. Results The number of publications on the ginseng sector increased significantly between 2011 and 2018, and has stayed stable after 2019, coinciding with the release of government policy documents. The research hotspots mainly focus on the macro concepts of "ginseng" and "ginseng industry", and the development of regional characteristics in Jilin Province. The research trend is gradually shifting from macro-industry analysis to more specific key links in the whole industry chain, including planting, production, testing, marketing and industry standardization. Conclusion Ginseng industry's research and development trend is gradually shifting toward key links in the industry chain, such as planting, fine processing, and active ingredient development, providing new direction and impetus for scientific research and technological support, industrial standardization, and high-quality development of the entire industry chain.
