Design of a Quantitative Effect Test for the Two Child Policy---Take the registered residence population data of Dongguan city as an example
In order to test the quantitative effect of population change brought by the implementation of the comprehensive two child policy, this paper uses the registered residence population change rate data and registered residence birth rate data of Dongguan city. After the time interval of the data is divided into time periods, the independent sample T test and Mann Whitney U test are used for the data of two different periods. The test results show that the average value of the registered residence population change rate data and the median score of the birth rate after 2016 are both higher than those before 2016, and are statistically significant. Therefore, from the perspective of registered residence population change, the implementation of the policy has achieved the expected effect. The method is simple, clear, and has portability.
