The Impact of Digital Transformation on Social Responsibility in Multinational Enterprises
Digital technology has become the main direction of international competition. However, in the process of digital transformation, enterprises have problems such as " unable to change, " " do not want to change " and " dare not change". By fulfilling their social responsibilities, they can help enterprises obtain external resources, deal with stakeholder relations, and cope with the above risks. Therefore, whether enterprises should passively promote the fulfillment of social responsibility in response to digital transformation has become a problem. In view of this, this paper takes multinational listed companies in the A-share market in 2011-2021 as the research object, and analyzes the relationship between digital transformation and CSR fulfillment based on the challenges multinational enterprises face in the context of economic globalization and the trend of digital transformation. The results of the study show that digital transformation of enterprises can significantly promote CSR fulfillment, and the greater the proportion of executives with overseas study backgrounds in enterprises, the more obvious the improvement of CSR fulfillment, while executives with overseas working backgrounds show negative moderating effect in some situations.
