Greetings from the Desk of Journal Coordinator!
We are pleased to present the upcoming issue of the Indian Journal of ECMO, continuing our mission to provide a diverse platform for sharing clinical experiences, research findings, and technical advancements in extracorporeal life support. As always, this issue reflects a wide range of topics that are both clinically relevant and thought-provoking for the ECMO community. This edition features an insightful review article on the incidence and outcomes of fungal infections in patients on ECMO.Given the increasing awareness of opportunistic infections in critical care, this article sheds light on an often-overlooked aspect of patient management.Another comprehensive review explores the role of extracorporeal CO removal (ECCOR) in adult patients with respiratory failure. This emerging modality holds promise as a less invasive adjunct to mechanical ventilation in selected cases, and the article provides an evidence-based overview of its current use and future potential. We also feature a valuable original article on predictive factors of coagulopathy in ECMO patients, offering practical insights that could assist clinicians in early identification and management of bleeding risks.Complementing the scientific content are two compelling case reports: one on post-operative ECMO support in a neonate with total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR), and another documenting the use of VA ECMO with a left ventricular stent in a rare case of fulminant dengue myocarditis. We hope this issue continues to inspire clinical excellence and scholarly inquiry.Your ongoing support and contributions remain the cornerstone of this journal's success.Warm regards,
