Exploring Arylsulfatase B Role in Colorectal and Prostate Cancer Pathogenesis through AI-Driven protein interaction prediction
: Although several previous studies have highlighted the potential role of arylsulfatase B in malignancies, the exact pathomechanism remains unknown. The aim of our research is to investigate the potential involvement of ARSB (arylsulfatase B) in colorectal and prostate cancer development using protein-protein interaction prediction by artificial intelligence The interaction network of ARSB was examined using the STRING database. Two prediction software were used to analyse the protein-protein interactions in the most optimal pathway, using different methods : The strongest interaction between ARSB and proteins involved in tumour development was represented by GUSB (0,77) and HSP90AB1 (0.62). For colorectal cancer, PEPPI system predicted the most likely interaction of HSP90AB1 with AKT1 (log(LR) = 1.78), while HDOCK Server showed the highest confidence score for connection with RAF1 (0.92). For prostate cancer, PEPPI system predicted the most likely interaction of HSP90AB1 with ERBB2 (log(LR) = 0.99), while HDOCK Server showed the highest confidence score with BRAF (0.91) For both tumour types, the strongest connection between ARSB and the proteins involved in tumourigenesis was found to be GUSB and HSP90AB1 . Furthermore, for both tumour types, PEPPI system predicted TP53 and EGFR , while HDOCK Server predicted BRAF and EGFR as the most likely interaction partner of HSP90AB1 .
