Abstract

Analysis of alternative design and technological solutions in determining the optimal main elements of a high-speed passenger vessel with outriggers.Method.Methods of ship theory and design, analysis and statistics are used.Results.It is determined that when assessing the competitiveness and subsidy-free operation of a high-speed passenger ship with outriggers for the Odesa-Istanbul route, it is necessary to take into account and analyze various alternative design and technological solutions. The analysis of ships using alternative solutions is of interest to domestic shipbuilding when assessing the export potential in the high-speed ship industry. For example, the 485M3 project ship, having a permanent solid ballast weighing 2.4 tons, has a 2.4-fold higher transport efficiency indicator and an 8.5-fold lower construction cost than the hydrofoil project 352, which is due to the use of a cheaper and more repairable hull material, namely steel. The mass of the permanent solid ballast, which is equal to 2.4 tons, is converted into retrofitting with outriggers and increasing the main dimensions.Outriggers significantly increase the operational capabilities vessel of the project 485M3.At Frl=0.96, the motion mode is transitional and close to gliding, and accordingly the systematic series "65" and "62" were defined. The engine was defined as a high-speed engine due to the fact that high speed engine has 1.5-2 times more mass than medium speed engine, with slightly smaller power.Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty lies in the analysis of alternative solutions in determining the optimal main elements of a high-speed passenger vessel with outriggers.Practical impact.High-speed passenger service from the port of Odessa is a relevant prospect, especially in the post-war development of southern Ukraine.Currently, the sea vehicles that served passenger routes from the port of Odessa have already been written off or are obsolete. Therefore, for the Odesa -Istanbul route, it is advisable to create a new high-speed passenger ship, namely a high-speed one with outriggers.Key words: high-speed passenger ship with outriggers; analysis of alternative solutions; stability diagram; high speed engine; medium speed engine... .. ,
