PENGARUH FREKUENSI APLIKASI DAN KONSENTRASI PLANT GROWTH PROMOTING RHIZOBACTERIA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays L.)

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of application frequency and concentration of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) on the growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.) in Rade Village, Madapangga District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. A factorial randomized block design was used with two factors: PGPR application frequency (once per week, once every two weeks, and once every three weeks) and PGPR concentration (10 cc/liter, 20 cc/liter, and 30 cc/liter). The results showed that applying PGPR once per week significantly improved plant height, leaf number, cob length and weight, 100-seed dry weight, seed weight per plot, and yield per hectare. A concentration of 30 cc/liter had a positive effect on plant height, leaf number, female flowering age, cob size, and seed weight per plant. Moreover, the interaction between biweekly application and 20 cc/liter concentration showed beneficial effects on male and female flowering age and seed weight per plant
