PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN PUPUK KANDANG AYAM DAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR BATANG PISANG TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN CABAI RAWIT (Capsicum frutescens L.)

This study aimed to determine the effect of chicken manure and banana stem liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth and production of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). The experiment was conducted from March to June 2023 at Jalan Dg Ngadde 3 No. 3, Makassar, using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: chicken manure (A0 = 0 g, A1 = 350 g, A2 = 450 g) and banana stem POC (P0 = 0 ml/L, P1 = 350 ml/L, P2 = 450 ml/L). There were 9 treatment combinations, each repeated 3 times, totaling 27 experimental units. Parameters observed included plant height, number of branches, flowering age (50%), number of fruits, fruit weight, and total production per hectare. Results showed that the A2P2 treatment (450 g manure + 450 ml/L POC) significantly enhanced plant height (78.67 cm), branch number (3.67), flowering age (32.00 days), number of fruits (56.67), fruit weight (82.00 g), and yield (4.67 tons/ha). While both fertilizers had significant individual effects, their interaction showed no significant impact on plant growth and yield.
