Hubungan antara perceived social support dengan psychological well-being pada generasi sandwich

The sandwich generation refers to a generation of individuals responsible for taking care of two generations. This generation often faces various demands and challenges, which can harm their psychological condition. One of the impacts of this condition was the low level of psychological well-being among the sandwich generation. This research aims to determine the correlation between perceived social support and psychological well-being among the sandwich generation. The research method used was quantitative correlational research. The study population was working men and women aged 15-64 years who have income and are responsible for caring for their parents and/or parents-in-law, siblings, and or immediate family members (children and/or spouses). The sample used was 401 people selected using purposive sampling. Data was collected using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale. The data analysis used was correlation analysis. The results of the analysis showed p <0,001; ρ = 0,652, indicating a significant positive correlation between perceived social support and psychological well-being among the sandwich generation. This means that the higher the perceived social support, the higher the psychological well-being. Conversely, the lower the perceived social support, the lower the psychological well-being.

This means that the higher the perceived social support, the higher the psychological well-being. Conversely, the lower the perceived social support, the lower the psychological well-being.
