Construction of An Assessment Model of Elite Athletes' volitional Quality Structure and Related Analysis
This study employs literature review, questionnaire surveys, mathematical statistics and other methods to investigate and analyze the structure of volitional quality of elite athletes. The findings indicate that: (1) The volitional quality of elite athletes is primarily composed of eight dimensions: self-actualization desire, goal clarity, self-control, self-confidence, difficulty tolerance, burnout endurance, tenacity and determination, with goal clarity scoring the highest average (4.52), self-control (3.61) and burnout endurance (3.17) scoring relatively lower. (2) There is a significant difference in the cognitive level of volitional quality among athletes of different levels (P<0.05), and there is no significant difference in the level of volitional quality among athletes of different genders (P>0.05); (3) The direct effect sizes of the three on the volitional quality structure are ranked as follows: level of athletic performance (0.46) > years of training (0.29) > age of the athlete (0.12), and volitional quality is positively correlated with sports performance (0.38). It is recommended to dialectically and scientifically analyze the internal connection of the volitional quality structure based on the study's results, to enhance the volitional quality level of elite athletes in China, and to offer constructive theoretical insights and practical guidance for athletes to achieve outstanding competitive results.
