Research on the Strategies of Physical Training at the Entry Stage of University Students

Objectives: Through FMS screening and basic physical fitness tests, this study evaluated the existing physical training reserves of new cadets, formulated targeted physical training strategies, and laid a solid foundation for follow-up training. Methods: Eighteen new trainees from an academy were randomly selected for FMS screening and basic physical fitness tests. A 2-month functional training program was conducted to address the identified issues, and the test data were analyzed using Excel 2010 and SPSS 19.0. Results: Through the training protocol designed in this study, the average total FMS score increased from 14.39 ± 2.38 to 16 ± 0.18, indicating a highly significant difference; the BMI unqualified rate decreased from 50% to 22.22%, with no sports injuries occurring during the training. Conclusion: During the initial training period, the physical training strategy designed in this study effectively prevented sports injuries, helped new students improve their basic movement functions and body shape, and laid a solid foundation for subsequent training.
