A study of equestrian riders' riding sport performance based on image analysis technology

In this paper, we applied the image analysis method to monitor the two-dimensional images of the technical movements of eight equestrian riders in two phases of centralized equestrian training stages, equestrian trotting rides and running rides training, and used the APAS image analysis system to analyze the performance of equestrian riding movements, the correlation coefficients between the rider's center of gravity and the vertical displacement of the horse's center of gravity, and to explore the movement patterns of the rider's multi-joint linkage during the training process. The results showed that after intensive equestrian training, the level of rider-horse coordination increased, and the ability to control the horse's movement rhythm was enhanced. From the perspective of multi-joint linkage patterns, equestrian trotting rides and running rides training could be categorized as two and three patterns, respectively, and most of the athletes' movement techniques were still in the process of grinding and optimization. There was a significant change in the horse's stride length at the end of the two training periods relative to the beginning of the training period, suggesting that the athletes' ability to control the rhythm of the horse's movement was enhanced.
