Influence of Comprehensive Aerobic Intervention on Physical Health of Obese Adolescents
Accompanied by the continuous achievement of scientific and technological progress and the increasingly improved living standard, the obesity rate is also rising sharply and posing serious threats to people's physical and mental health. In this study, the key factors leading to the obesity of adolescents were extracted via the factor analysis technique in machine learning. Moreover, the effects of two intervention schemes—single dietary intervention and comprehensive aerobic intervention (aerobic training+ dietary intervention+ psychological counseling)—on each dimension of male obese adolescents’ physical health and their time-dependent variation characteristics were explored. Method: A total of 100 male obese adolescents were organized and divided into single dietary intervention group A and comprehensive aerobic intervention group B for a 12-week intervention to observe their changes in physical functions, body shapes, fitness and psychology. Results reveal that the single dietary intervention group A showed significant improvements in grip strength, standing long jump, cardiac function index, body fat rate, waist-hip ratio, abdominal fat and body fat after the intervention. For the comprehensive aerobic intervention group B, all indexes except sit and reach and vital capacity were markedly improved after intervention, and the subjects in this group were significantly improved in grip strength, standing long jump, waist-hip ratio, cardiac function index, power vehicle secondary load and mental health when compared with those in the single dietary intervention group A. Conclusion: The obesity-inducing factors extracted through factor analysis are truthful and effective, and dietary intervention is capable of effectively improving the body shape index of obese adolescents to achieve the fat reduction effect, while comprehensive aerobic intervention can enhance muscular strength, enhance cardiopulmonary functions and improve mental health status in addition to the fat reduction effect.
