A Study on the Relationship Between Stress and Burnout Among Dalian Women's Football Players: From the Perspective of the Stress-Burnout Model

This study examines the relationship between stress and burnout in football players. In the study, we used a variety of methods, including questionnaire survey method, literature review method, expert interview method and mathematical statistics. The results of the study show that there is a significant positive correlation between the stress level and burnout of female football players in Dalian, and this correlation is statistically significant with a p-value of less than 0.01.Among the six major stress factors affecting female football players in Dalian, interpersonal relationships, match losses and sports injuries were particularly prominent. There were significant correlations between them and emotional and physical exhaustion (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). In addition, competition losses and sport injuries had an impact on the reduction of athletes' perceived sport value, and the data showed a significant association between them (P < 0.05). Also, these two factors were strongly associated with a decrease in athletes' sense of achievement, and the data likewise showed a significant correlation (P < 0.05, P < 0.01).
