Research on the location selection of fresh food cold chain logistics distribution centers in Shenyang City
As China's economy rapidly advances, fresh food has become an integral part of daily life, with its freshness and safety drawing increasing attention. Due to its short shelf life and high susceptibility to spoilage, maintaining the quality of fresh food is paramount. To meet consumer demands for fresh and safe products, many enterprises have established dedicated cold chain logistics distribution centers to ensure timely and quality-controlled deliveries. This paper presents a comprehensive study on the site selection for fresh food cold chain logistics distribution centers. First, drawing on both domestic and international research, we develop a site selection model tailored to the distribution characteristics of fresh food, incorporating demand forecasting. Next, using Shenyang City as a case study, we apply a genetic algorithm to solve the model, identifying optimal locations that minimize total transportation and spoilage costs.
