Rumor dissemination social force model based on the social force model of crowd evacuation
Examining the parallels between crowd evacuation and rumor propagation in terms of subjects, nodes, processes, and other relevant factors, we constructs a Rumor Dissemination Social Force Model (RDSF) based on the crowd evacuation social force model. This model incorporates elements such as individual interests, social influence, and external driving force, defining Information Social Forces (ISF) to simulate the spread of rumors within social networks by modulating the contagion rate through ISF. The article validates the effectiveness of RDSF through simulation experiments and analyzes the influence of various social forces on rumor dissemination. The findings reveal that the strength of social force significantly impacts both the speed and extent of rumor spreading. Notably, when the proportionality constant a is elevated, the number of evacuees increases rapidly. This study underscores the importance of timely intervention during the initial phases of rumor dissemination and offers a scientific foundation for public opinion monitoring and information dissemination management, which can aid in the development of more effective debunking strategies.
