Comparative analysis of methods for enhancing isolation in power combiners
The waveguide power combiner is characterized by its low insertion loss, high synthesis efficiency, and large power capacity, making it a popular choice for high-power applications. However, waveguide frequency combiners have limitations in isolation performance and cannot simultaneously achieve high isolation and impedance matching. Therefore, this article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of different methods for improving port isolation from the perspectives of using lossy and lossless networks and summarizes the optimal solutions for various scenarios based on a comparative analysis of specific parameters. This enables researchers to determine methods to improve the isolation of combiners quickly and provides a solution to the isolation problem of waveguide power combiners.
