The Integration of VR Technology and New Media Art in the Smart Space of the Internet of Things
New media art refers to modern creative activities that use digital technology and multimedia formats to create unique experiences and push the frontiers of art. Its integration of virtual reality (VR) with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies improves the immersiveness and interactivity of artistic displays while enriching artistic expression. We establish the integration of VR equipment and new media art in IoT-smart surroundings. However, the combination of VR and IoT poses challenges in terms of compatibility, stability, and interactivity for new media art displays. To address these issues, we proposed a novel Intelligent Elephant Herding Optimized Extreme Boosting (IEHO-XGBoost) model for the recognition of interactive scenes in immersive virtual environments. The VR experience is influenced by real-time environmental data, including temperature, lighting, and sound, that is gathered by IoT sensors positioned around the art space. The experiment findings reveal that the model has excellent performance and immovability, which improves the rendering effect of VR sceneries while increasing scene concentration. Furthermore, the scene identification findings demonstrate excellent accuracy (98%), precision (96.25%), recall (96%), and F1-score (97.52%), with IoT-enhanced real-time feedback, allowing for efficient classification of complex, dynamic scenes, and robust VR interactive maintenance for new media art displays.
