Assessment of malnutrition in cancer patients: a geriatric approach with the mini nutritional assessment
This study highlights the multifactorial nature of malnutrition in geriatric cancer patients and emphasizes the importance of regular nutritional assessments using validated tools like MNA. Early detection and intervention can improve clinical outcomes and quality of life. However, the study has certain limitations, including being single-center, the use of self-reported measures, and the exclusion of palliative patients, which may affect the generalizability of the results.
