Research on time series data processing method for distributed IoT communication protocol based on rule engine

In response to the trend of energy transformation and deep integration of information technology, the development of power Internet of Things technology will usher in the digital era of interconnected everything for the power grid. The distributed IoT communication protocol based on MQTT specifies the protocol theme for edge devices to report data, i.e., the end devices on edge devices report data through this theme. Due to the fixed and complex message structure reported by the device data, if the message is not processed and the MQTT data bridging function of the EMQ X rule engine is used, the data cannot be inserted into the temporal database IoTDB in real-time. Therefore, this article proposes a rule engine-based temporal data processing method for power distribution in the Internet of Things communication protocol. By republishing sub-topic rules for splitting and processing each split message into IoTDB through sub-topic parsing rules, the edge device-reported data can be inserted into the temporal database IoTDB in real-time.
