Abstract

The purpose of the study is to prove that reverse logistics is important for business, as it allows to effectively manage returns, minimize losses, reduce waste and increase customer satisfaction. The market-based contractual reverse logistics system for remanufacturing was investigated.Remanufacturing is the process of restoring the functionality of end-of-life products, which is considered an important link in reverse logistics systems to restore value.Over the past two decades, designing reverse logistics networks has become a widely researched area for both academics and industrial practitioners.Since Ukraine does not have its own production of laptops, and the military needs them, it is advisable to consider remanufacturing projects in the Industry 5.0.Methods.Stochastic methods of analysis and statistics were used.Results.A stochastic model was developed for making key tactical decisions, namely: setting up the system remanufacturing, purchasing and transportation of the main components.Novelty of the work. The work demonstrates a new way of using old things.Practical significance. An example of organizing a reverse logistics network for collecting old laptops is presented. The profitability of such an enterprise is proved. The expected minimum and maximum income of this enterprise is calculated.Since income is a multi-criteria indicator, several factors were analyzed, namely: the optimal number of laptops, the cost of repair, and the cost of transportation. The paper considers carbon costs, which affect carbon taxes arising from the operation of the facility and transportation activities.Carbon costs are considered for carbon taxes arising from facility operations and transportation activities.Future research should focus on developing new models and methods to better account for technology adoption, for the design and operation of similar systems, in order to facilitate
