RESEARCH OF MICROSTRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF ULTRASONIC VIBRATION-ASSISTED LASER CLADDING OF AlCoCrFeNi HIGH-ENTROPY ALLOY COATINGS
AlCoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy coatings (HEAcs) were prepared on the surface of H13 steel using ultrasonic vibration-assisted laser cladding (LC) technology. The effects of adding ultrasound on the phase composition, microscopic morphology, element distribution, grain orientation, hardness, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance of the coating of LC HEAcs were investigated. The results showed that the addition of ultrasound did not change the phase composition of the HEAcs but increased the lattice distortion. Due to the acoustic cavitation and acoustic flow effects, the microstructure of the HEAc became uniform and dense and the grain size decreased. The residual stress of the coating gradually decreased; the hardness of the coating increased from 661.11 HV[Formula: see text] to 703.4 HV[Formula: see text]. The average friction coefficient was reduced from 0.71 to 0.59 and the wear resistance was increased. The corrosion current density was reduced from 6.779× 10[Formula: see text] A⋅ cm[Formula: see text] to 1.953× 10[Formula: see text] A⋅ cm[Formula: see text] and the corrosion resistance increased significantly.
