CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE A PANDEMIA DA COVID-19 E A SAÚDE DOS TRABALHADORES DA SAÚDE: UMA BREVE REVISÃO DA LITERATURA

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges to worker health, especially for healthcare professionals who have been on the front lines of fighting the virus. These professionals faced high risks of contamination, physical and mental stress, as well as obstacles related to the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adaptations in health systems to deal with the crisis. In view of the above, this literature review consistently highlighted the adverse impacts of the COVID- 19 pandemic on the mental and physical health of healthcare workers. The studies reviewed point to a significant increase in levels of stress, anxiety, depression and exhaustion among these professionals, often attributed to work overload, lack of adequate resources and fear of contagion.
