Quadrature Demodulator of Navigation Signals
This article presents cost-effective analogue quadrature demodulator of the global navigation satellite system signals and its functional, maths and digital implementations with graphical illustrations. Digital implementation have presented as simple and common operations, which should be included to the algorithm. Also, the article describe the maths basics of the quadrature-compressed signals for understanding the functional principles of the demodulator. Besides, the paper describe basics for calculation of maths model and introduce scatter parameters matrix of the demodulator. Scatter parameters of this model have investigated and have compared with scatter parameters of the real device. Graphical implementations of the comparison and explanation of the difference also introduced at this article. The paper present experimental stand, measurement method using vector network analyzer and their features for the scatter parameters measurements. The article introduce examples of demodulation results that have performed by digital model and by the real devices. Difference between results also have explained.
