The Use of an Incoherent Algorithm with Feedback of the Decision to Increase the Noise Immunity of Receiving Frequency-Modulated Signals with Extended Phase Trajectories

This work is dedicated to the development and investigation of an algorithm for the incoherent, element-wise reception of frequency-modulated signals with extended phase trajectories, using feedback on the solution. We investigate the dependences of the noise immunity of signal reception on parameters such as the normalized frequency bandwidth(ΔFt), as well as the reduction of this bandwidth and the analysis of bit error rate (BER) degradation. We also analyze the impact of the feedback depth (L-1) on BER, finding that an improvement in BER occurs with an increase in feedback depth at lower AFT values. Further development of the area of increasing noise immunity in incoherent reception, with increasing message transmission rates, involves the search for algorithms that can compensate for interference from not only previously received symbols, but also other sources of interference.
