Temperature Analysis and Simulation in Microwave Systems with TE20 Waveguide Using 3D Finite Element Method

This research focuses on developing a mathematical model to analyze the temperature distribution within a microwave oven system using a TE₂₀ waveguide and the 3D Finite Element Method. The study examines the operation of a stationary tray microwave oven with one-way and three-way waveguide configurations to compare the temperature distribution in food and assess the impact of the waveguide pattern on the steady-state temperature. Simulations were conducted at a frequency of 20,000 MHz and a power of 800 W using MATLAB software, with results presented in graphical form. The findings reveal that the three-way waveguide achieves a more uniform and faster temperature distribution compared to the one-way waveguide, demonstrating reduced temperature deviation, higher peak food temperatures, and shorter times to reach steady state. These results support the development of more efficient microwave oven designs, enhancing heat distribution and energy savings, with potential applications in the food industry and modern kitchen appliances.
