Aquaponic System with IoT for Sustainable Farming
Aquaponics is an innovative agricultural approach that combines aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (soilless plant cultivation) into a closed-loop ecosystem. This system leverages the natural synergy between fish and plants, where nutrient-rich water from the fish tank supports plant growth. In contrast, plants naturally filter and purify the water for the fish. The project integrates IoT technology, enabling automation and real-time monitoring of essential parameters such as water levels, temperature, and system operation through the Blynk application. The designed aquaponics system demonstrates a scalable and efficient solution suitable for limited spaces, such as urban areas. It promotes sustainable agriculture by reducing water usage and optimizing resource management. Initial experiments show promising results, highlighting the system's potential for improving plant growth rates and overall efficiency in food production.
